In the world of design, some projects go beyond the boundaries of a client brief — they become conversations between user journeys and brand philosophies. I recently worked with a client rooted in intentional living, simplicity, and quiet beauty, to bring their ethos into a digital experience.
This wasn’t just another portfolio piece. It was a chance to practice empathy through design — to mirror the client’s values in a space that feels serene, alive, and thoughtfully crafted.
Bringing Stillness to Life: What I Learned from Framer Scroll Animations
Drawing from previous learnings, I incorporated Framer’s scroll animations in subtle, storytelling-driven ways — not for flashiness, but to create presence and pause. Some of the key interactions included:
Parallax motion to add gentle depth, inspired by the flow of the Norda website
Duplicate layering and visual pauses to create a sense of rhythm, encouraging slower exploration
Ambient transitions that reflect the calm, meditative tone of the brand
These scroll behaviors weren’t visual effects — they were invitations to slow down and feel, aligning with the spirit of the client’s philosophy.
From Pitch to Partnership: The Concept Behind the Prototype
Instead of waiting for a formal brief, I chose a proactive and empathetic approach — presenting a complete homepage prototype to open up a shared vision for collaboration.
A Four-Phase Roadmap
Phase 1: Research & Absorption
I studied the emotional tone and interactive patterns of Travel Shift and Norda, mapping their essence to the client’s digital presence.
Phase 2: Wireframing with Purpose
The wireframes were designed to breathe — using whitespace, flow, and structure as tools for expression, not just layout.
Phase 3: High-Fidelity in Framer
Built the full homepage prototype with scroll animations, gentle transitions, and storytelling layers to make the interface feel alive and immersive.
Phase 4: Pitch & Collaboration
The prototype wasn’t a final answer — it was a starting point for creative dialogue, shared with the client to invite feedback and co-creation.
The Outcome
A fully designed homepage built in Framer
Scroll and parallax animations inspired by Norda
Placeholder copy and visual tone aligned with the client’s values
A live Framer link for preview and collaboration
Scope for 1 revision round, ensuring feedback was part of the process
Final Thoughts
Design is more than aesthetics — it’s about intention, experience, and emotional resonance. With this project, I used my knowledge of Framer’s scroll animations not just to demonstrate skill, but to craft a moment of quiet digital empathy.
I’m proud to share this prototype with the client — not as a pitch, but as a reflection of their values in digital form.
