Problem Statement

The current version of FaceIT was functional, but it has large scope for improvement in terms for usability and user needs and overall better user experience. While the basic actions like leaves, expenses, attendance record, etc. were in place, but they lacked an intuitive flow that would make the app more seamless for day to day usage. For this phase we picked Employee View to create a more structured and user-friendly experience to ensure effortless tracking and management of records.

The process & Roadmap - I visited the UX of FaceIT with a more focused approach on what Employees truly need for their daily workflows. The ultimate goal was to improve the usability by making the key features more accessible and efficient.

Enhance Leave - Simplified the request process and record management for employees.
Optimized Expense Tracking - Made it easier to log and manage records.
Refined Attendance Tracking - Improved visibility of attendance logs, making it more intuitive for employees to track their work hours
Overall UX enhancement - I redefined the navigations, layouts and interactions to create a smoother experience for the user experience, ensuring better accessibility and ease of use.

What’s next

While the employee view has been significantly improved, the next phase will focus on enhancing the manager view. This upgrade will ensure that managers have a more intuitive and efficient dashboard that aligns with the current UX improvements. Features like team overviews, approval flows, and reporting tools will be reworked to create a more cohesive and user-friendly experience for decision-makers.

With these ongoing enhancements, FaceIT is evolving into a more powerful and user-centric platform that streamlines workforce management. Stay tuned as we continue refining the experience for both employees and managers!
